Hi, My name is Yapo, I started blogging January 2010 at exteen.com, a thai blog then shifted to Tumblr, when I finally got bored of reblogging stuffs there, I decided to move to blogspot to start a new life, also to focus on more sensible reads and to meet more people. I left to wordpress for a year but eventually came back here.
NAME: Yapo Nightroad
Yapo is a nickname given to me since I was just a little kid, they said it means bread but I can't be sure. Nightroad came from my favorite anime Trinity Blood, my first year of using it was kinda silly but from then on I got used to it until everyone from cyberspace associates the name Nightroad to me~ YAPTUS on the other hand is just an alias I got from urbandictionary.com, I thought it was catchy back then. Sounds weird to me now though, but it's too late to remove it from my identity!AGE: 20
BIRTHDAY: April 29,1991 (Same birthday as Kumicky Funayama!)
PLACE: Philippines! Hometown would be Calamba Laguna.
GENRE: Gyaru
I started to practice gyaru fashion last July 2010 and is ever since building my wardrobe. I also have a soft spot for anything pastel, and ever since I dyed my hair blonde (october of 2010) my self confidence of trying out fairy kei has been activated.
INTERESTS: I love reading books! I can spend all day hanging out at bookstores reading fictions. My fave would be CHRONICLES OF ANCIENT DARKNESS by Michelle Paver.
IF I WERE TO CHOOSE: I'd like to be a sea creature, maybe a jelly fish or maybe a plankton. I want to discover the ocean and its secrets. I don't really care about mermaids, but I want to believe that Atlantis is real. But if I were to be a human, I'd like to live in the super early times, maybe homo erectus era lol, I want to hunt, I want to learn the ways and be friends with what is still with us from the very beginning, Nature!
My gyaru history
It's pretty plain and simple. I discovered gyaru through internet (tumblr to be exact). It was an unforgettable moment in my life (july of 2010), haha, I follow really cool lolitas in tumblr, and I was just admiring them for their boldness to live the lifestyle, and I was like, "hey, I want to have something I'd live for, something that will make me feel good about myself". Though I kind of eyeing gyaru already, I'm still bit unsure because of the expensive lifestyle. But upon shifting here on blogger, I met Kayano (kyaapink, kyaachan). She was blonde and living her gyaru days to the fullest. Her braveness and creativeness struck me like an golden arrow and from there I knew I had to make my own move. With no friends to talk about gyaru, I brave myself to go alone, kayano as my guide (coz I dont know shit about gal magazine back then, I can barely differentiate Tsubasa to Kumicky). She was my gyaru foundation (and I'm really proud of that).
Through her I grew to have a something with Okarie too..
Quitting gyaru and moving on
There was a point in my "blogging-lyfe" that I got bored with gyaru kei, for some reason, the wild and fun style had some restrictions of how I want to express myself. I decided to leave. A step I didn't regret. What pushed me and gave me courage is the now very famous Eva Cheung along w/ her gang (Amber, Andy Autumn, and Ruby Gloom). But I know better this time than to call my style something that might restrict me again in the future.. So when people ask what is my style, I simply answer Japanese Street kei.
